Name: Squeeny

Description:
Currently Squeeny doesn’t have a description in the Sporepedia, a situation I will rectify later!

Notes:
A departure from my usual daily post today, because I run the full version in fullscreen, rather than windowed like the Creature Creator. This makes it a little more difficult to get the relevant statistics out of the game. And, well, do the statistics really matter? Add me as a buddy and you can check my stuff out in the full version anyway. ;)

The reason I chose to have Squeeny be today’s entry is that he’s also my very first creature to make it through the Creature stage of the game. Most of the changes from when he first stepped out of the water and onto land were fairly minor, except towards the end where he sprouted arms and started to add some armour plating to help deal with some of the more dangerous wildlife on my starting planet.

Ultimately Squeeny proved quite adept at surviving in a very rough world. I managed to get the achievement for not having died during the Creature phase. No mean feat, considering I survived one ambush by an Epic and a nest invasion from another!
And both Epic creatures were things I created! Was very thankful I didn’t create them to be tough, just cute and/or goofy!

Name: Plantius Carnivorii

Description: The carnivorous nature of this plant is somewhat disguised by the pretty pretty flowers on its back… SOMEWHAT disguised.

Statistics:
Abilities – Mating Call, Sneak (5)
Attack – Bite (3), Charge (1), Spit (2)
Socialize – Sing (1), Dance (2), Charm (5)
Speed – 1
Health – 40
Diet – Omnivore

Notes:
The torso for this plant-creature is largely untouched, though I did remove a couple of pieces of spine from the back end of it. But then I added the big scary mouth and then wondered if I could turn it into something vaguely plantlike… turns out I can!

Name: Stoporillshoot

Description: These friendly creatures were first discovered by the equally amiable Hellohowareyous, who were initially confused by the Stoporillshoot’s seeming usage of the galactically recognised symbol of surrender.
(Extended “wouldn’t fit on the Sporepedia” description)
Since their induction to the greater galactic community, many have suggested that a change may be required to the symbol for surrender, to avoid any confusion.
A representative of one of the founding members of the Galactic Senate, Hah of the warlike Ohyeahwhosegunnamakeme clan has vetoed all suggested changes, pointing out that they don’t accept surrenders anyway, so why does it matter?

As yet, nobody has had the courage to disagree. They have 74 mouths, who’s going to argue with that?!

Notes:
Well, the description for this guy is a little longer than usual. Just seemed a fun little by-play to me. It’d be interesting to play these guys as pacifists and just see if any warlike people do come after them and not accept their surrender…

Also it’s interesting that although it was not at all intended, this creature has a sprint ability – meaning it’s quite good at running away with its hands raised in the air. Hmm!

Description: Designated Chubster 435 by the Intergalactic Naming Commission.

Notes:
Just something easy today. Feeling a little under the weather (hooray for Winter flu season!) so I decided to just create a little chubby guy.
I tried to make him be a pink chubby guy but no matter how many different shades of pink I tried or the different textures I put on him, it never really looked right. So I gave up and made him orange. As you do!

Why 435? Well, I figure there’s probably a lot of other chubby creatures in the Sporepedia already…

Notes:
I started creating a giraffe… and ended up with a bird. I’m not sure how that happened!

And Birdybirdybirdy’s dancing is totally “boy dancing”. Stepping from one side to the other and trying to look cool!
